Renaissance of Renaissance Thinking - Why Business Needs The Art

Nir advocates the connection between business success and renaissance thinking – combining the brain of a scientist with the empathy and sensibility of an artist. Using examples of leaders in the business world that have already capitalized on the synergy of art and science, he raises questions such as: is it the balance between the right brain and the left-brain that made this person or company successful? How can we accomplish this balance? Why should we do it? These questions help to initiate a change in paradigm. If you are looking to learn how to stay relevant in the future, this is a session for you.

A “mind-blowing journey to the importance of art in business”, “game changer session” and “unconventional and one of the most unique talks I have ever attended” to name a few of the comments from his listeners.

Why Business Innovation May Come From The Arts

In this session, we explore the impact that art has on the innovation process in the business world. Through examples from the past and the present of business companies and projects like Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), we show why art and innovation go together and how companies can work with artists to add a new innovation tool in their toolkit.

By joining this session, participants can develop further and maintain an open mind approach for innovation and creative sources and show how ideas can come from different worlds, people and cultures.

By the end of this session participants will understand why art may be key to innovation, explore the relationship between art and innovation, get familiar with evidence-based benefits of innovation that came from the arts and be exposed to a significant change in the business world and what is required in order to deal with it.

"Art is a way of thinking,” says Nir Hindi.

Hindi, originally from Tel-Aviv, Israel, is an entrepreneur who, though rooted in the world of technology and business, has always had one foot in the creative world. He is the founder of The Artian, innovation and creativity company that empowers organizations and leads them to be more original, by using a unique method that adopts practices, processes, and techniques from the art world, and integrates artistic thinking into the business and entrepreneurship worlds.

Hindi is devoted to fostering Renaissance Thinking – combining art with engineering, science, and technology. He especially advocates the connection between artistic talent and business entrepreneurship, two areas that fuel each other and provide endless opportunities for mutual learning. He is a visiting professor in IE Business School, one of Europe's leading business schools, Executive Programs and a mentor in startups programs; a guest lecturer at the Master for Design and Innovation in IED; both in Madrid, Spain.
