*StartUp Disruptors VIP Launch Event, Buffet and Small Business Networking…
About this Event
StartUp Disruptors VIP Launch – BASE Bordon 16th July 2019 5pm-7pm
StartUp Disruptors is the FIRST and ONLY entrepreneurial support community for early stage start-ups and small business in the UK.
More than just networking we supply contacts, community support, signposting and funding options to help you make your business successful and sustainable.
We are now launching the community in BORDON at BASE Bordon in conjunction with Enterprise M3 LEP and The Growth Hub; East Hants District Council and many more.
We would like to invite you along for a VIP invitation only FREE launch event and light buffet to see what it’s all about and how we can help YOU and your business to GROW.
But, don’t be fooled; our supporters of this launch may be public sector but our attitude and approach is ‘all business’ and ROI focussed; we are leading the disruption of changing the whole face of start-up support and we are on the rampage!
We were fed up of networks that were ‘woolly’ like Shaun the Sheep, so we ‘disrupted’ and started our own with a focus on creative, tech and disruptive thinkers; outliers and mavericks; creatives and neuro-diverse thinkers; women and BAME. Parity is paramount, we all need support!
So if that’s you – come along and join the disruption!
Who are the StartUp Disruptors?
Started in 2015 with 9 people in a pub by Becky Lodge and Laura Kenward; the community now has over 2500 online members on Facebook and Meetup from Bournemouth to Basingstoke.
But what can we do for you?
Our offer is unique, as we know how lonely being a small business owner can be.
You often work long hours from home (or coffee shops), sometimes forget to get dressed (we are writing this in our PJ’s) and conversation is limited with the family pet (woof!).
The social isolation can be crippling and destructive, that’s where we come in.
We’ve got your back, we are your tribe and we will look after YOU!
Why? Because we have been there and we all need someone to make sure that we are OK.
There are many mental health challenges that people also need help and support with; when running a business; and we provide and safe and inclusive community (with no judgment!) where you can bring your questions (either in person via one of our meetups) or via our online support anytime 24/7/365. Sometimes you just need to ‘offload’ we get it.
If you’re an introvert or socially anxious, we can provide a meeting ‘buddy’ for you to meet in advance of one of our meetups in the area and we have a number of corporate brand ambassadors including IndieGogo and The Sasha Group/Vaynermedia.
If you need funding, we are an official partner of Funding Circle and we offer special discounts and rates and we also have access to the Angel and VC investor networks worldwide.
IndieGogo can also provide insight on scaling up through crowdfunding.
We charge just £19.99 a month (per city), on a rolling monthly subscription; no buy-ins or tie-ins.
So what do you get?
- PR and Marketing via our social media channels – we reach 50,000 small business owners per week via our social media feeds and network locally

The group was also featured on Channel 4 in 2018 as part of a new series and Becky has also been featured on the BBC as a spokesperson for small business around the topic of BREXIT and future business growth.
Hampshire Meet the Buyer Event – The Event For SME Business Growth:
Hampshire Meet The Buyer is a premium B2B event that brings together start-ups, SMEs and corporate businesses to build a sustainable business life cycle and ‘do more business together’.
Key decision makers are in the room and speakers have included: Grant Thornton, Uber, National Grid and many others.
Designed as a conference/expo that helps share knowledge on such topics as Business Growth, The Future of Business Transportation and much more. Fed up of the sub-standard offering in the local market (that delivered zero return on time invested), Becky designed this unique event with sales and business development as a top priority, in order that attendees could speed up sales conversion.
Attendees are given direct introductions to companies that are ready to do business with them (they have contracts to award), thus shortening the sales process to allow business developers and CEO’s to ‘cut to the chase’ and get more orders/contracts and lessen the costs of business development.
An event app also helps connect attendees to do more business in advance of the event via Linked In. The target audience is CEO’s, Founders, Heads of Procurement and senior level management in construction, tech, facilities management and engineering. If you are serious about sales and don’t want to just ‘meet up for coffee’ then this is the event to attend. Ticketing is all paid and the event has sold out 4 weeks in advance of running for the last 2 years; a waitlist is operated each year and tickets are sold through Eventbrite online.
This event has continued to grow in size since its launch with an average attendee base of 150 and last year tickets sold out within 4 weeks of them going on sale.
Quality of attendee is placed over quantity; and we guarantee that you will get to see at least one major buyer during the event, last year on average attendees saw 6 buyers during the event, resulting in some great case studies and testimonials, which can be viewed online via the following link – one business won an annual contract of £300k from a ticket value of a few hundred pounds.
Too good to be true?
No, there’s a new and better way of doing business with technology at the very heart of it, this is what we do.
